Buffalo Wings
Celery and Blue Cheese
Method
Preparing the Wings
- 1
Marinate the Wings
In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Toss to coat evenly. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- 2
Heat the Oil
In a deep fryer or large pot, heat the vegetable oil to 375°F (190°C).
- 3
Fry the Wings
Carefully add the marinated chicken wings to the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
- 4
Coat with Buffalo Sauce
Once fried, remove the wings from the oil and drain on paper towels. In a large bowl, toss the hot wings with the buffalo sauce until well coated.
Preparing Celery and Blue Cheese
- 5
Prepare Celery Sticks
Wash and cut the celery sticks into 3-4 inch pieces.
- 6
Serve
Arrange the buffalo wings on a serving platter along with the celery sticks and a bowl of blue cheese dressing for dipping.
