Method

Preparation of Fries

  1. 1

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the Russet potatoes and cut them into thin strips to form fries.

  2. 2

    Soak the Potatoes

Place the cut potatoes in a bowl of cold water and let them soak for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  3. 3

    Dry the Potatoes

After soaking, drain the potatoes and pat them dry with paper towels to ensure they fry properly.

Cooking the Fries

  1. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 5

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the dried potato strips to the hot oil in batches, frying until they are golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes per batch.

  3. 6

    Drain and Season

Remove the fries with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt to taste.

Cooking the Steak

  1. 7

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat.

  2. 8

    Season the Steak

Rub the ribeye steaks with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and fresh rosemary on both sides.

  3. 9

    Grill the Steak

Place the steaks on the preheated grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting time for desired doneness.

  4. 10

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Serving

  1. 11

    Plate the Dish

On a serving plate, arrange the fries next to the sliced steak.

  2. 12

    Garnish (Optional)

Sprinkle chopped parsley over the steak and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
