Method

Chai Base Preparation

  1. 1

    Brew the Chai

In a saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Once boiling, add the chai tea bags, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, ground cardamom, and ground cloves. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 10 minutes.

  2. 2

    Strain the Chai

Remove the saucepan from the heat and strain the chai mixture into a bowl or pitcher, discarding the tea bags and spices. Allow the chai to cool to room temperature.

Turmeric Syrup Preparation

  1. 3

    Make the Syrup

In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water, 2 tablespoons of turmeric powder, and honey or maple syrup. Stir well and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes, then remove from heat and let it cool.

Latte Assembly

  1. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In a glass, add ice cubes to your desired level. Pour in the cooled chai base, followed by 1 cup of milk. Stir in 2-3 tablespoons of the turmeric syrup, adjusting to taste.

  2. 5

    Serve

Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon or a cinnamon stick if desired. Enjoy your iced golden chai latte!
