Method

Prepare the Salsa

  1. 1

    Combine Ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, finely chopped onion, and chopped cilantro.

  2. 2

    Add Lime Juice and Salt

Pour in the lime juice and add salt. Mix everything together until well combined.

  3. 3

    Chill Salsa

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it chill in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Assemble the Nachos

  1. 4

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).

  2. 5

    Layer Tortilla Chips

Spread the tortilla chips in a single layer on a large baking sheet.

  3. 6

    Add Cheese and Jalapeños

Evenly sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the tortilla chips, followed by the sliced jalapeños.

  4. 7

    Bake Nachos

Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serve

  1. 8

    Remove from Oven

Carefully remove the nachos from the oven and let them cool for a minute.

  2. 9

    Serve with Salsa

Serve the nachos hot with the chilled salsa on the side for dipping.
