Burger Patty

Burger Assembly

Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until the ingredients are just combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the patties tender.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a round patty, about 3/4 inch thick.

  3. 3

    Cook Patties

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

Assemble the Burger

  1. 4

    Prepare the Vegetables

While the patties are cooking, wash and dry the lettuce leaves. Slice the tomato and onion into thin rounds.

  2. 5

    Toast the Buns

Once the patties are cooked, remove them from the heat. Cut the burger buns in half and toast them on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  3. 6

    Build the Burger

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by a cooked beef patty. Top with tomato slices, onion rings, ketchup, and mustard. Place the top half of the bun on each burger.
