Preparation Steps
- 1
Prepare the Chicken Wings
Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Place them in a large bowl and season with salt and black pepper.
- 2
Heat the Oil
In a large, deep pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 3
Fry the Wings
Carefully add the chicken wings to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pot. Fry for about 10-12 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to remove the wings and drain them on paper towels.
- 4
Make the Buffalo Sauce
In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Once melted, add the hot sauce and garlic powder, stirring well to combine. Allow the sauce to simmer for a couple of minutes.
- 5
Toss the Wings in the Sauce
In a large bowl, combine the fried wings and the buffalo sauce. Toss gently until the wings are evenly coated in the sauce.
- 6
Serve
Arrange the buffalo wings on a platter and serve with celery sticks and blue cheese dressing on the side.
