Still Spring Water (Acqua Panna)

Method

Serving Acqua Panna

  1. 1

    Chill bottle (if needed)

If the bottle is not already chilled, place it in the refrigerator for at least 1–2 hours or in an ice bucket for 15–20 minutes until it reaches your desired temperature. Cold temperature recommended 4–10°C (39–50°F).

  2. 2

    Prepare glass (optional)

Select a clean glass appropriate for still water (tumbler or stemmed water glass). If you prefer your water cold and slightly diluted, add the optional ice cubes to the glass. Otherwise, leave the glass empty so the water's flavor is undiluted.

  3. 3

    Pour water

Open the bottle and pour water gently into the prepared glass to about three-quarters full (or to personal preference). Pouring slowly preserves the still character and minimizes splashing.

  4. 4

    Garnish (optional)

If desired, run the lemon wedge around the rim of the glass and drop the wedge into the water for a subtle citrus note. This step is optional and will slightly alter the pure taste of Acqua Panna.

  5. 5

Serve immediately. Offer additional ice or lemon on the side if guests prefer. Dispose of unused water after 24 hours if left at room temperature; refrigerated, consume within 48–72 hours for best freshness.
