    Fill a highball or Collins glass with ice to chill while you mix the drink.

    In a cocktail shaker, add 2 oz Ketel One Vodka, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice, 0.5 oz simple syrup, and a handful of ice. Secure the lid.

    Shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds until the shaker feels cold to the touch and the outside is frosted.

    Assemble

    Discard the ice from the chilled glass if desired and fill the glass with fresh ice. Strain the shaken vodka mixture into the glass over the fresh ice.

    Top with about 2 oz cold club soda. Gently stir once with a bar spoon to combine the soda with the cocktail without flattening it.
