Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Dough

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Create a well in the center and add the eggs. Mix until the dough starts to come together. Knead for about 5-10 minutes until smooth. Wrap in plastic wrap and let it rest for at least 30 minutes.

Filling Preparation

  1. 2

    Prepare the Filling

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the pork sausage and ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly. In a bowl, mix the cooked meats with ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

Ravioli Assembly

  1. 3

    Assemble the Ravioli

Roll out the dough on a floured surface until thin. Cut into squares (about 3 inches). Place a teaspoon of filling in the center of each square. Fold the dough over to form a triangle and seal the edges by pressing with a fork. Repeat until all dough and filling are used.

Breading and Frying

  1. 4

    Bread the Ravioli

In a shallow bowl, beat the eggs with milk. Dip each ravioli in the egg mixture and then coat with breadcrumbs. Ensure they are fully covered.

  2. 5

    Fry the Ravioli

In a deep skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Fry the ravioli in batches for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve

Serve the toasted ravioli hot with marinara sauce on the side for dipping.
