Salad Preparation
- 1
Cook Gyro Meat
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the gyro meat until heated through and slightly crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking.
- 2
Prepare Vegetables
While the meat is cooking, thinly slice the red onion. Halve the grape tomatoes and pit the kalamata olives if not already pitted.
- 3
Combine Salad Ingredients
In a large salad bowl, combine the mixed greens, sliced red onion, halved grape tomatoes, kalamata olives, and crumbled feta cheese.
Dressing Preparation
- 4
Make the Dressing
In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, red wine vinegar, dried oregano, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until emulsified.
- 5
Dress the Salad
Pour the dressing over the salad and toss gently to coat all ingredients evenly.
Serving
- 6
Warm the Na'an
Warm the na'an bread in a skillet or oven for a few minutes until soft and warm.
- 7
Serve
Top the salad with the cooked gyro meat and serve immediately with the warm na'an bread on the side.
