Method
Prep
- 1
Prepare glass and ingredients
Chill a highball or Collins glass briefly (5 minutes in freezer) if desired. Wash and gently pat dry the mint leaves. Measure and have the vodka, strawberry puree, and lime cordial ready.
Build and muddle
- 2
Muddle mint with lime cordial
Place the 10 fresh mint leaves into the bottom of a mixing glass or shaker. Add the 0.75 oz house lime cordial. Gently muddle 6–8 times to release the mint oils — press firmly but do not shred the leaves to avoid bitterness.
- 3
Add puree, vodka, and optional sweetener
Add 1 oz strawberry puree and 2 oz Svedka Strawberry Lemon vodka into the mixing glass. If the puree is tart or not very sweet, add 0.25 oz simple syrup. Stir or gently shake once to combine and chill slightly (5–8 seconds).
Assemble
- 4
Add ice and transfer
Fill the chilled highball/Collins glass about 3/4 full with crushed ice (approximately 1 cup). Strain the mixed contents over the crushed ice, using a julep or fine strainer to keep large mint bits out of the glass if preferred.
- 5
Top with soda
Carefully top with 3 oz soda water. Gently stir twice with a bar spoon to integrate the soda without flattening the carbonation or overly bruising the mint.
Garnish & serve
- 6
Garnish with a fresh mint sprig tucked into the top and a lime wheel or wedge on the rim. Serve with a straw and enjoy immediately while cold and effervescent.
