Cocktail Preparation

1. Chill glass

Place a martini glass in the freezer for at least 10 minutes before making the cocktail, or fill it with ice water while preparing the drink to chill. Empty ice water before straining.

2. Measure ingredients

Using a jigger, measure 2 oz Absolut vodka, 1 oz PAMA pomegranate liqueur, 1 oz pomegranate juice, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice, and 0.25 oz simple syrup (if using).

3. Add to shaker

Fill the cocktail shaker with about 1 cup of fresh ice. Pour the measured vodka, pomegranate liqueur, pomegranate juice, lime juice, and simple syrup over the ice.

4. Shake

Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds (until the outside of the shaker is very cold and condensation forms). This chills and dilutes the cocktail to the correct balance.

5. Double-strain (optional)

If you prefer a crystal-clear martini without any ice chips or pulp, hold a fine mesh strainer over the chilled martini glass while you pour to double-strain. Otherwise strain directly through the shaker's strainer.

6. Garnish and serve

Pour the shaken cocktail (about 4.5–5 oz including dilution) into the chilled martini glass. Garnish with a small teaspoon of pomegranate arils dropped into the center and a lime twist expressed over the drink and rested on the rim.

7. Optional adjustments

Taste and adjust sweetness by adding an additional 0.25 oz simple syrup if desired. For a tarter drink, add another 0.25 oz lime juice.

Cleanup & Notes

8. Rinse and dry the shaker and strainers promptly to avoid sticky residue from the pomegranate juice and liqueur. Store leftover pomegranate juice refrigerated and use within 3 days.
