Cocktail

Method

Preparation

1

Chill glass

Place a rocks or coupe glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes, or fill it with ice water while you mix the cocktail to chill the glass.

2

Salt rim (optional)

If salting the rim, rub a lime wedge around the glass rim. Spread the coarse salt on a small plate and dip the moistened rim into the salt to coat evenly. Shake off excess.

Mixing & Serving

3

Combine ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, add 2 oz BHG Dobel tequila, 1 oz fresh lime juice, 0.5 oz agave syrup, 0.75 oz orange liqueur, and 0.5 oz fresh orange juice.

4

Add ice and shake

Add a generous scoop of ice (about 1 cup) to the shaker. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the shaker feels well chilled (exterior becomes cold and slightly frosty).

5

Strain

Discard ice/water from the chilled glass if used. Double-strain the mixture into the prepared glass over fresh ice (for a on-the-rocks serving) or without ice into the chilled glass for a straight-up presentation.

6

Garnish and finish

Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim and an optional orange twist. Serve immediately.
