Method

Cocktail

1

Prepare honey syrup

If you don't have honey syrup ready, make 1:1 honey syrup by combining equal parts honey and hot water. Stir until honey is fully dissolved and cool to room temperature before using. (For the listed quantity this recipe uses about 0.5 oz honey syrup; you can make 1/4 cup to keep on hand.)

2

Add 2 oz Malfy gin, 0.75 oz St-Germain, 0.5 oz Cointreau, 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice, and 0.5 oz honey syrup to a cocktail shaker.

3

Fill the shaker with ice (about 1 cup or enough to three-quarters fill the shaker).

4

Shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is frosty and the mixture is well chilled and slightly diluted.

5

Double-strain the cocktail through a fine mesh strainer into a chilled coupe or Nick & Nora glass to remove ice shards and any pulp from the lemon juice.

Garnish & Serve

6

Express a lemon twist over the surface of the drink by holding the twist skin-side down over the glass and giving it a firm bend to release oils, then rub the rim with the twist and drop it into the drink.

7

Optionally float an edible flower gently on the surface for a floral presentation.

8

Serve immediately. Recommend serving chilled, sipping slowly to enjoy the floral and citrus interplay.
