Fried Grouper Filet

Method

Preparation

1

Prepare the Breading

In a shallow dish, combine flour, cornmeal, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix well.

2

Prepare the Egg Wash

In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until well combined.

3

Coat the Grouper

Dip each grouper filet into the egg wash, allowing any excess to drip off. Then, dredge the filets in the flour-cornmeal mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.

4

Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

5

Fry the Filets

Carefully add the breaded grouper filets to the hot oil. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.

6

Drain and Serve

Remove the fried filets and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot.
