Method

Brown Butter Preparation

  1. 1

    Brown the Butter

In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Continue cooking, swirling the pan occasionally, until the butter turns golden brown and gives off a nutty aroma, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Salted Caramel Sauce Preparation

  1. 2

    Make the Caramel Sauce

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add the granulated sugar and allow it to melt without stirring. Once the sugar is completely melted and turns a light amber color, carefully add in the unsalted butter, whisking until melted. Slowly pour in the heavy cream, whisking constantly until the mixture is smooth. Stir in the sea salt, and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.

Latte Assembly

  1. 3

    Prepare the Latte

Brew 2 shots of espresso using your preferred method. In a small saucepan, heat the oat milk over medium heat until steaming but not boiling. Froth the oat milk using a milk frother or whisk until light and airy.

  2. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In a large mug, combine the brewed espresso with 2 tablespoons of salted caramel sauce and 2 tablespoons of brown butter. Stir well to combine.

  3. 5

    Finish the Latte

Pour the frothed oat milk over the espresso mixture, stirring gently to combine. Top with a pinch of additional sea salt for garnish.
