Method

Preparation of Eggs

  1. 1

    Boil the Eggs

Fill a medium pot with water and bring it to a gentle boil. Carefully add the heritage eggs to the boiling water and cook for 6-7 minutes for jammy yolks. Adjust the time if you prefer a softer or firmer yolk.

  2. 2

    Ice Bath

While the eggs are boiling, prepare an ice bath by filling a bowl with ice and cold water. Once the eggs are done boiling, transfer them immediately to the ice bath to stop the cooking process. Let them sit for about 5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Peel the Eggs

Gently tap the cooled eggs on a hard surface to crack the shell and carefully peel them under running water to make the process easier.

Preparation of Chili Crunch

  1. 4

    Heat Olive Oil

In a small saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat until it shimmers. Do not let it smoke.

  2. 5

    Add Garlic

Add the minced garlic to the hot oil and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

  3. 6

Add Chili Flakes and Sesame Seeds

Stir in the red chili flakes and sesame seeds, cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes until the mixture is aromatic.

  4. 7

    Finish the Sauce

Remove the saucepan from heat and add soy sauce, salt, and black pepper to taste. Stir well to combine.

Assembly

  1. 8

    Plate the Eggs

Cut the peeled jammy eggs in half and arrange them on a serving plate.

  2. 9

    Top with Chili Crunch

Drizzle the house chili crunch generously over the halved eggs, ensuring they are well coated.

  3. 10

    Serve

Serve immediately while warm, and enjoy your delicious jammy eggs with house chili crunch.
