Method
Preparation
Prepare the Peppers
Roast the smoked jalapeno and poblano pepper over an open flame or under a broiler until the skin is charred and blistered. Once charred, place them in a bowl and cover with plastic wrap for about 10 minutes. This will help steam the skins, making them easier to peel.
Remove the Skins
After steaming, peel the charred skin off the jalapeno and poblano peppers. Remove the seeds and stems, then chop them finely.
Mix the Margarita
Combine Ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 oz of Tesoro Tequila, 1 oz of freshly squeezed lime juice, and the chopped smoked jalapeno and poblano peppers.
Shake and Strain
Add ice to the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds. Strain the mixture into a glass filled with ice.
Garnish
Sprinkle 1 tsp of Tajin seasoning on top of the drink for an added kick and garnish with a slice of fresh lime or a whole smoked jalapeno, if desired.
