Well Cocktails - Base Spirits & Mixers

Garnishes & Small-Use Ingredients

Method

Well Cocktails - Batch Prep (makes multiple drinks)

  1. 1

    Purpose

Prepare well spirit / mixer station for quick assembly of weekly special well cocktails: highball, sour, and mixer-forward drinks.

  2. 2

Make Sweet & Sour Mix (if not pre-made)

Combine 16 oz fresh lemon juice (about 8 lemons) with 16 oz fresh lime juice (about 8 limes) and 32 oz simple syrup in a pitcher. Stir until uniform. Chill. (If using pre-made sweet & sour, skip.)

  3. 3

    Assemble Well Spirit Bottles

Label bottles or decanters for vodka, gin, rum, tequila and triple sec so bartenders can quickly measure. Keep chilled or on speed rail.

  4. 4

    Station Mixers

Place club soda, cola, tonic, OJ, cranberry, and pineapple in refrigeration or on service area. Keep ice and garnishes ready in small containers.

Individual Cocktail Recipes & Service (each recipe yields 1 serving unless noted)

  1. 5

    Vodka Highball

Fill a highball or Collins glass with ice (about 1 cup). Add 2 oz well vodka. Top with 4 oz club soda (or to taste). Gently stir once. Garnish with a lime wedge. Serve with a straw.

  2. 6

    Rum & Cola

Fill a highball glass with ice. Add 2 oz well rum. Add 4–6 oz cola (adjust sweetness). Stir gently to combine. Garnish with an orange wheel and a maraschino cherry.

  3. 7

    Gin & Tonic

Fill a highball glass with ice. Add 2 oz well gin. Top with 4–6 oz tonic water. Stir briefly. Garnish with a lime wedge (squeeze if desired).

  4. 8

    Tequila Sunrise (well version)

Fill a highball glass with ice. Add 2 oz well tequila and 4 oz orange juice. Slowly pour 0.5 oz grenadine (substitute: 0.5 oz simple syrup + 0.25 oz cranberry if grenadine not available) down the side so it sinks to the bottom to create a sunrise effect. Garnish with an orange wheel and cherry.

  5. 9

Well Long Island-Style (lighter well version)

In a shaker with ice: add 0.5 oz each well vodka, well gin, well rum, well tequila, and 0.5 oz triple sec (total spirits = 2.5 oz). Add 1 oz sweet & sour mix and 0.5 oz simple syrup. Shake briefly (8–10 seconds). Strain into a collins glass filled with ice. Top with 1–2 oz cola (for color/taste). Garnish with a lemon wedge. Note: this is a lighter batch than a classic Long Island; adjust spirit amounts for stronger version.

  6. 10

    Cranberry Vodka Splash

Fill a rocks glass with ice. Add 1.5 oz well vodka and 3 oz cranberry juice. Top with a splash (0.5–1 oz) club soda for effervescence. Stir gently. Garnish with a lime wedge.

  7. 11

    Pineapple Rum Cooler

Fill a Collins glass with ice. Add 1.75 oz well rum, 2 oz pineapple juice and 0.5 oz simple syrup (if desired). Top with 1–2 oz club soda. Stir and garnish with pineapple wedge or cherry.

  8. 12

    Well Vodka Sour

In a shaker with ice: add 2 oz well vodka, 1 oz sweet & sour mix (or 0.75 oz lemon + 0.75 oz simple syrup), and 0.5 oz triple sec (optional for orange note). Shake vigorously 10–12 seconds. Strain into a chilled coupe or over fresh ice in a rocks glass. Garnish with a maraschino cherry and lemon wheel.

Service & Notes

  1. 13

Keep batch quantities flexible — ingredient quantities in the ingredients section are intended to supply several dozen drinks for a weekly special run (approximate yield: 24–36 single cocktails depending on recipe). Refill mixers and ice frequently. Taste-check sweet & sour and adjust simple syrup to balance tartness. Always label well bottles and train staff on measured pours (typically 1.5–2 oz per spirit).
