Buffalo Shrimp
Method
Buffalo Shrimp
- 1
Prepare shrimp
Pat the 7 shrimp dry with paper towels. Season both sides lightly with 1/4 tsp kosher salt and 1/8 tsp freshly ground black pepper. This helps them brown quickly and prevents steaming.
- 2
Make buffalo sauce
In a small bowl combine 1 tablespoon unsalted butter (melted), 2 tablespoons hot sauce, 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon lemon juice and the minced garlic. Whisk until smooth. (Reserve 1/2 teaspoon olive oil for sautéing.)

Sauté shrimp
Heat a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1 tsp olive oil and the remaining 1/2 tablespoon butter. When the butter is hot and foaming but not browned, add the seasoned shrimp in a single layer. Cook 1.5–2 minutes per side (3–4 minutes total) until shrimp are pink and just opaque; do not overcook.

Finish and serve
Transfer shrimp to a serving plate. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons blue cheese crumbles evenly over the shrimp and garnish with 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley if using. Serve immediately while hot.
