Method
Prepare the Burger Patty

Mix the Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well until fully incorporated.

Form Patties
Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties.

Preheat Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

Grill the Patties
Place the patties on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).

Add Cheese
In the last minute of grilling, place a slice of smoked Gouda cheese on each patty to melt.
Prepare Beer Cheese Sauce

Combine Ingredients
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine beer, sharp cheddar cheese, cream cheese, garlic powder, mustard, and salt.

Cook the Sauce
Stir frequently until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy. Remove from heat.
Assemble the Burger

Toast the Buns
Optional: Toast brioche buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.

Layer the Ingredients
On the bottom half of each bun, place a handful of mixed greens, followed by the grilled patty with melted Gouda, a slice of tomato, and red onion.

Add Sauce
Drizzle with bistro sauce or jalapeño aioli.

Complete the Burger
Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
