Method

Prepare the Batter

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan with butter or line it with parchment paper.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Whisk together until well combined.

  3. 3

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, beat the eggs and then add the vanilla extract, melted butter, and milk. Mix until smooth.

  4. 4

    Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients

Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl of dry ingredients. Stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix.

Bake the Cake

  1. 5

    Transfer Batter to Pan

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan, spreading it evenly.

  2. 6

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  3. 7

    Cool the Cake

Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then, transfer the cake to a wire rack to cool completely.

Serve and Enjoy

  1. 8

    Add Toppings

Once the cake is completely cool, you can top it with dark chocolate chips, a dusting of powdered sugar, or fresh berries as desired.

  2. 9

    Slice and Serve

Slice the cake into wedges and serve. Enjoy your delicious gluten-free choc tort!
