Method

Crust Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

    Mix crust ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Stir until the mixture resembles wet sand.

  3. 3

    Form the crust

Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form an even layer.

  4. 4

    Bake the crust

Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes until lightly golden. Remove and let cool.

Filling Preparation

  1. 5

    Beat cream cheese

In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy, about 2 minutes.

  2. 6

    Add sugar and sour cream

Gradually add the granulated sugar and sour cream, mixing until well combined and smooth.

  3. 7

    Incorporate vanilla and eggs

Add the vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition until just combined. Avoid overmixing.

  4. 8

    Add flour

Gently fold in the all-purpose flour until no lumps remain.

  5. 9

    Pour into crust

Pour the filling mixture over the cooled crust in the springform pan.

Baking and Cooling

  1. 10

    Bake the cheesecake

Bake the cheesecake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.

  2. 11

    Cool down

Turn off the oven and crack the door open, allowing the cheesecake to cool in the oven for 1 hour to prevent cracking.

  3. 12

    Chill

Remove from the oven and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.

Serving Suggestions

  1. 13

    Prepare toppings (optional)

Before serving, prepare the toppings by slicing fresh strawberries and whipping the cream if needed.

  2. 14

    Serve

Slice the cheesecake and serve with fresh strawberries, strawberry sauce, and whipped cream on top if desired.
