Prepare the Meatball Mixture
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.

Form the Meatballs
Using your hands, form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake the Meatballs
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake the meatballs for 15-20 minutes or until cooked through and browned on the outside.

Add Garlic
Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute, until fragrant.

Add Chicken Broth
Pour in the chicken broth and bring the mixture to a boil.

Cook the Pasta
Once boiling, add the acini de pepe pasta and cook according to package instructions, usually about 7-9 minutes, until al dente.

Season the Soup
Season the soup with salt and black pepper to taste. Stir in the additional grated Parmesan cheese before serving.

Ladle the soup into bowls and enjoy hot, with extra Parmesan cheese on the side if desired.
