Beef Shawarma Ingredients

Method

Beef Shawarma Directions

  1. 1

    Marinate the Beef

In a large bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, ground cumin, ground coriander, paprika, turmeric, cinnamon, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Mix well to form a marinade. Add the beef, ensuring all pieces are coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight for deeper flavor.

  2. 2

    Cook the Beef

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the beef from the marinade and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the beef reaches your desired doneness. Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing thinly.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Shawarma

Warm the pita or flatbreads. Place a generous amount of sliced beef in the center of each bread. Top with fresh vegetables and drizzle with tahini sauce or garlic sauce. Roll up the bread around the filling, securing it tightly.

  4. 4

    Serve

Serve the beef shawarma warm with extra sauce on the side if desired.
