Method

Prepare Waffle Batter

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

  2. 2

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, melted unsalted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.

  3. 3

    Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; some lumps are okay.

  4. 4

    Add Pearl Sugar

Fold in the pearl sugar into the batter gently, distributing it evenly.

Cook Waffles

  1. 5

    Preheat Waffle Iron

Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions until hot and ready.

  2. 6

    Cook Waffles

Pour an appropriate amount of batter onto the waffle iron (about 1/2 to 3/4 cup depending on the size of your iron). Close the lid and cook until the waffles are golden brown and crispy, usually about 4-5 minutes.

  3. 7

    Remove Waffles

Carefully remove the waffles from the iron using a fork or tongs and place them on a wire rack to cool slightly. Repeat the process with the remaining batter.

Serve

  1. 8

    Plate and Serve

Serve the waffles warm on a plate and drizzle with maple syrup. Enjoy your delicious pearl sugar waffles!
