Method

Cheese Base Preparation

  1. 1

    Melt Cheese

In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the American cheese and heavy cream. Stir continuously until the cheese is completely melted and smooth. Remove from heat and set aside.

Chili Sauce Preparation

  1. 2

    Cook Ground Beef

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.

  2. 3

    Sauté Vegetables

Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the beef. Sauté until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

  3. 4

    Add Spices and Sauce

Stir in the chili powder, cumin, tomato sauce, kidney beans, salt, and black pepper. Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Pico de Gallo Preparation

  1. 5

    Mix Ingredients

In a bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, small diced onion, chopped cilantro, lime juice, and salt. Stir until well mixed and set aside.

Assembly and Serving

  1. 6

    Combine and Serve

In a large serving dish, layer the melted cheese, followed by the chili sauce, and top with pico de gallo. Serve with tortilla chips and guacamole on the side.
