Burger Components

Method

Preparing the Patties

  1. 1

    Prepare the Meat Mixture

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Mix gently to avoid overworking the meat.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the meat mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, making a slight indentation in the center to prevent puffing during cooking.

Cooking the Burgers

  1. 3

    Grill or Cook the Patties

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness. If using cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking.

  2. 4

    Toast the Buns

During the last few minutes of cooking, place the burger buns cut-side down on the grill or skillet to toast lightly.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 5

    Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, layer shredded lettuce, sliced tomato, and sliced onion. Add the cooked patty and any optional toppings such as pickles, ketchup, mustard, bacon, or avocado.

  2. 6

    Complete the Burger

Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately. Enjoy your customized burger!
