SOFT SERVE

Method

SOFT SERVE

  1. 1

In a high-speed blender, combine the rolled oats, frozen banana, cocoa powder, almond butter, maple syrup, vanilla extract, salt, and 1/2 cup of oat milk. Blend on high until the oats are broken down and the mixture is creamy, about 1 minute.

  2. 2

Add the remaining 1 cup of oat milk. Blend on high until the mixture is completely smooth and uniform, scraping the sides as needed.

  3. 3

Transfer the mixture to a bowl. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to chill and thicken slightly.

  4. 4

Pour the chilled mixture into a shallow pan or loaf dish. Freeze for 60 minutes, stirring every 20 minutes to break up ice crystals and create a soft-serve texture.

  5. 5

Scoop and serve. If needed, let stand 5–10 minutes at room temperature to soften. Optional toppings: fresh berries, shaved chocolate, or chopped nuts.
