Cocktail

Method

Cocktail

1

Prepare strawberry purée (if not pre-made)

Hull and quarter 3–4 medium strawberries. Place in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. If desired, strain through a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds for a silky purée. Yield: about 2–3 oz purée.

2

Add 2 oz 1800 Silver tequila, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice, 0.5 oz simple syrup, and 1 oz strawberry purée to a cocktail shaker.

3

Fill the shaker with ice (about 3/4 full) and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until well-chilled and slightly frothy from the purée.

4

Fill a copper mug or highball glass with fresh ice. Strain the shaken mixture into the prepared glass over the ice.

5

Top with about 2 oz ginger-lime soda (ginger beer or ginger lime soda) to give a spicy-sweet effervescence. Gently stir once or twice to integrate without losing too much fizz.

Garnish & Serve

6

Garnish with a hulled strawberry (sliced or fanned) and a lime wheel or wedge on the rim.

7

Optional: slap a mint sprig between your palms to release aromatics and tuck it into the garnish for an herbal note.

8

Serve immediately with a straw or cocktail pick. Recommend serving chilled.
