Method
Preparation of Cauliflower
Cut the Cauliflower
Remove the leaves from the cauliflower and cut it into bite-sized florets.
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easier cleanup.
Batter Preparation
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
Add Water
Gradually add water to the dry ingredients, whisking until you have a smooth batter.
Coating and Baking
Coat the Cauliflower
Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, allowing excess batter to drip off.
Place on Baking Sheet
Arrange the coated cauliflower florets on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the cauliflower is golden brown and crispy.
Buffalo Sauce Preparation
Melt Butter
In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter.
Tossing and Serving
Toss Cauliflower in Sauce
Remove the baked cauliflower from the oven and transfer it to a large mixing bowl. Pour the buffalo sauce over the cauliflower and toss until evenly coated.
Serve
Serve immediately, garnished with celery sticks and ranch or blue cheese dressing if desired.
