Burger Patties

Toppings

Method

Prepare the Burger Patties

1

Mix the Ingredients

In a bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

2

Shape the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties, slightly larger than the burger buns as they will shrink while cooking.

Cook the Bacon

3

Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and let them drain on paper towels.

Cook the Burgers

4

Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.

5

Grill the Patties

Add the formed burger patties to the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. If you are adding cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking.

6

Flip the Patties

Flip the patties and cook for another 4-5 minutes or until they reach your desired doneness.

Assemble the Burger

7

Add BBQ Sauce

Once the patties are cooked, remove them from the grill and brush each patty generously with BBQ sauce.

8

Build the Burger

On the bottom half of the burger bun, place lettuce, the BBQ-coated patty, crispy bacon, sliced tomato, and onion. Top with the other half of the bun.
