Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Egg Mixture

In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, and a pinch of salt until well combined.

Stuffing the Toast

  1. 3

    Stuff the Bread

Take one slice of Texas toast and spread a generous amount of the cream cheese filling on one side. Top with another slice of toast to make a sandwich. Repeat for all slices of bread.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Heat the Pan

Preheat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with butter or cooking spray.

  2. 5

    Cook the Stuffed Toast

Dip each stuffed toast sandwich into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are well-coated. Place the sandwiches on the preheated skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve the Stuffed French Toast

Once cooked, transfer the stuffed French toast to a serving plate. Drizzle with warm maple syrup and dust with powdered sugar. Add fresh berries on top if desired.
