Prepare the Meatball Mixture
In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, egg, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.

Form the Meatballs
Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake the Meatballs
Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and bake the meatballs for 20-25 minutes or until they are browned and cooked through.

Add Tomatoes and Spices
Stir in crushed canned tomatoes, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, black pepper, and sugar. Bring to a simmer and cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
For the Spaghetti

Cook the Spaghetti
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Combine and Serve
Add the baked meatballs to the tomato sauce and simmer for an additional 5 minutes. Serve the meatballs and sauce over the spaghetti, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
