Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Form the Patties

In a bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each into a patty about 3/4 inch thick.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the beef patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

  3. 3

    Melt the Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty. Cover the grill or skillet to melt the cheese.

Sautéed Mushrooms Preparation

  1. 4

    Sauté the Mushrooms

In a skillet, heat the butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are browned and tender.

  2. 5

    Add Garlic

Add the minced garlic to the skillet with the mushrooms, and sauté for an additional 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.

  3. 6

    Finishing Touch

Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley for added freshness.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 7

    Build the Burger

Place each cooked patty with melted Swiss cheese on the bottom half of a burger bun. Top generously with the sautéed mushrooms.

  2. 8

    Complete the Burger

Cover with the top half of the burger bun and serve immediately.
