Cheese Mixture Preparation

Prepare the Cheese Mixture
In a large mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, parmesan cheese, provolone cheese, egg, fresh parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined and set aside.
Meat Sauce Preparation

Cook the Meat Sauce
In a large skillet over medium heat, add ground beef. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.

Combine with Tomatoes
Stir in canned tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer and let it cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Cook Lasagna Noodles
While the meat sauce is simmering, cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and rinse under cold water.

Assemble the Lasagna
In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of meat sauce at the bottom. Layer 3 lasagna noodles, half of the cheese mixture, a third of the meat sauce, and a third of the homemade tomato sauce. Repeat the layers, finishing with the last 3 noodles, remaining meat sauce, and top with mozzarella cheese.

Bake
Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Cool and Serve
Let the lasagna cool for about 10 minutes before slicing. Serve hot and enjoy!
