Caesar Dressing
Method
Salad Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Romaine Lettuce
Wash the Romaine lettuce thoroughly under cold water to remove any dirt. Shake off excess water and cut the lettuce into bite-sized pieces.
- 2
Prepare the Croutons
If using store-bought croutons, measure 1 cup. If making homemade croutons, cut bread into cubes, toss with olive oil and seasonings, and bake at 375°F (190°C) for about 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
- 3
Grate the Parmesan Cheese
Using a grater, grate the Parmesan cheese until you have about 1 cup.
Dressing Preparation
- 4
Make the Caesar Dressing
In a mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper. Whisk together until smooth and creamy.
Assembly
- 5
Combine the Salad
In a large salad bowl, add the prepared Romaine lettuce. Pour the Caesar dressing over the lettuce and toss gently to coat all the leaves.
- 6
Add Croutons and Parmesan
Sprinkle the croutons and grated Parmesan cheese on top of the dressed lettuce and toss lightly to combine.
- 7
Serve
Transfer the House Caesar to individual serving plates or bowls. Optionally, garnish with extra Parmesan cheese and croutons before serving.
