Preparation of Garlic Butter

Roast the Garlic
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Take the fresh garlic cloves, peel them, and wrap them in aluminum foil. Drizzle with a little olive oil, seal the foil, and roast in the oven for about 20-25 minutes until soft and fragrant.

Make the Garlic Butter
Once the garlic is roasted, let it cool slightly, then squeeze the cloves out of their skins into a mixing bowl. Add the unsalted butter, finely chopped fresh parsley, and salt. Mix until well combined and creamy.
Assemble and Bake

Prepare the Bread
Slice the Italian bread in half lengthwise, creating two long halves. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Add Cheese
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the garlic buttered bread.

Bake the Garlic Bread
Place the prepared bread halves on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges of the bread are golden brown.

Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, then slice into portions and serve warm.
