Pasta Preparation

Cook the Cappellini
In a large pot of boiling salted water, add the cappellini and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Season the Shrimp
In a bowl, toss the peeled and deveined shrimp with Cajun seasoning until well coated.

Sauté the Vegetables
In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and diced bell pepper. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender.

Cook the Shrimp
Add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Stir occasionally.

Add Green Onions
Stir in the chopped green onions and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
Sauce Preparation

Make the Sauce
In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Then, pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth. Stir well to combine.

Season the Sauce
Add hot sauce, salt, and black pepper to the sauce. Simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
Combine and Serve

Mix Pasta and Sauce
Add the drained cappellini to the skillet, tossing well to coat the pasta in the sauce and combine with the shrimp and vegetables.

Serve the Louisiana shrimp pasta hot, garnished with additional green onions if desired.
