Method

Chopped Steak

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chopped Steak

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, egg, bread crumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until fully combined.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and have a nice brown crust.

Grilled Onions & Mushrooms

  1. 4

    Prepare the Vegetables

    Slice the onion and mushrooms.

  2. 5

    Grill the Vegetables

In the same skillet used for the patties, melt butter over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and mushrooms, season with salt and pepper, and sauté for about 8-10 minutes, or until they are tender and caramelized.

Mashed Potatoes

  1. 6

    Boil the Potatoes

Peel and cut the potatoes into quarters. Place them in a pot of salted water and bring to a boil. Cook for about 15-20 minutes or until tender.

  2. 7

    Mash the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter, milk, salt, and black pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.

Vegetables

  1. 8

    Prepare the Vegetables

Steam or sauté the mixed vegetables in a separate pan until they are tender, about 5-7 minutes.

Crispy Onions

  1. 9

    Prepare the Onions

Slice the large onion into thin rings.

  2. 10

    Batter the Onions

Dip the onion rings into milk and then coat them with flour.

  3. 11

    Fry the Onions

Heat oil in a frying pan to 350°F (175°C). Fry the battered onion rings in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
