Method

Preparing Roasted Tomatoes

  1. 1

    Roast the tomatoes

Roast in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the tomatoes are blistered and softened.

Frying Mozzarella

  1. 2

    Prepare and fry mozzarella

Dredge each mozzarella slice in flour, dip in egg, and coat with breadcrumbs. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the mozzarella slices until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.

Cooking Burgers

  1. 3

    Cook the burgers

In a bowl, combine ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Form into 4 equal patties. Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 4

    Assemble the Caprese Burger

Toast the burger buns lightly. On the bottom half of each bun, layer baby arugula, a burger patty, fried mozzarella, roasted tomatoes, and fresh basil leaves. Drizzle with balsamic glaze before placing the top half of the bun.
