Method

Prepare the bread

  1. 1

    Slice the baguette

Cut the baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices.

  2. 2

    Toast the bread

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the slices on a baking sheet and brush each side with olive oil. Toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown.

Prepare the topping

  1. 3

    Mix the topping

In a large bowl, combine diced tomatoes, chopped basil leaves, and minced garlic. Drizzle with balsamic glaze and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Gently toss to combine.

Assemble the bruschetta

  1. 4

    Top the bread

Remove the toasted bread from the oven and allow to cool slightly. Spoon the tomato mixture generously onto each slice of toasted baguette.

Serve

  1. 5

    Enjoy your bruschetta

Serve immediately while the bread is still warm and crispy, drizzling extra balsamic glaze over the top if desired.
