Method
Dough Preparation
- 1
Activate Yeast
In a small bowl, combine warm water and sugar. Sprinkle the yeast over the top and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- 2
Mix Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the activated yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
- 3
Knead Dough
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Form the dough into a ball.
- 4
First Rise
Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a clean cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Topping Preparation
- 5
Prepare Toppings
While the dough is rising, prepare the toppings. Cook the bacon until crispy, then crumble it. Dice the ham and set aside.
- 6
Whisk Eggs
In a medium bowl, crack the eggs and whisk them until well beaten. Season with black pepper.
Assembly and Baking
- 7
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
- 8
Shape Dough
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and transfer it to a floured surface. Roll it out into a 12-inch circle.
- 9
Assemble Pizza
Transfer the rolled dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet. Evenly distribute the diced ham and crumbled bacon over the surface. Pour the whisked eggs over the toppings, making sure to cover the entire pizza. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese and optional green onions.
- 10
Bake Pizza
Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- 11
Serve
Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
