    Prepare the Beef

    Season the Montana beef with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, sear the beef on all sides over medium-high heat until browned. Remove from heat and set aside.

    Make the Salsa Morita

    In a blender, combine the chipotle peppers, garlic, cumin, oregano, and beef broth. Blend until smooth to create the salsa morita.

    Cook the Beef

    In a slow cooker, place the seared beef and pour the salsa morita over it. Add the chopped onion on top. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours, or until the beef is tender and easily shredded.

    Shred and Serve

    Once cooked, shred the beef with two forks and mix it with the sauce. Serve with chopped fresh cilantro as a garnish.
