Method

Preparation

1

Muddle Mint and Lime

In a sturdy glass or cocktail shaker, add the fresh mint leaves and lime juice. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently press the mint leaves against the bottom of the glass to release their oils and flavor. Be careful not to shred the leaves.

2

Add Simple Syrup and Rum

Pour in the simple syrup and white rum into the muddled mint and lime mixture. Stir gently to combine the flavors.

3

Add Ice

Fill the glass with ice cubes, leaving some space at the top for soda water.

4

Top with Soda Water

Pour the soda water over the ice, filling the glass to the brim. Give it a gentle stir to mix.

5

Garnish

Garnish the cocktail with a lime wedge and a sprig of mint for an extra touch of freshness.
