Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, combine warm water (around 110°F or 43°C), sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

  2. 2

    Make Dough

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the activated yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.

  3. 3

    Knead Dough

Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  4. 4

    Let Dough Rise

Place the kneaded dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Assembling and Baking

  1. 5

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat up.

  2. 6

    Shape Pizza

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thickness.

  3. 7

    Brush with Olive Oil

Transfer the rolled-out dough onto a pizza peel or baking sheet. Brush the surface with olive oil.

  4. 8

    Add Toppings

Spread the minced garlic evenly across the dough. Layer the provolone, mozzarella, feta, and parmesan cheeses on top. Sprinkle with chopped fresh basil.

  5. 9

    Bake the Pizza

Carefully transfer the pizza to the preheated oven or onto the pizza stone. Bake for about 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.

  6. 10

    Cool and Serve

Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy!
