Cooking the Pasta

Boil the Spaghetti
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a cup of pasta water.
Making the Creamy Pesto Sauce

Blend the Ingredients
In a food processor, combine fresh basil leaves, pine nuts, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic cloves, salt, and black pepper. Pulse until finely chopped.

Add Olive Oil and Cream
With the food processor running, slowly drizzle in olive oil until the mixture is smooth. Add the heavy cream and blend until fully incorporated. Adjust seasoning to taste.
Combining and Serving

Mix Pasta and Sauce
In a large mixing bowl or the pot used for cooking, combine the drained spaghetti with the creamy pesto sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.
