Method

Preparation

1

Press the Tofu

Wrap the firm tofu in a clean kitchen towel and place a heavy object on top to press out excess moisture for about 15 minutes.

2

Prepare the Sauce

In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Set aside.

Cooking

3

Cube the Tofu

Once pressed, cut the tofu into 1-inch cubes.

4

Coat with Cornstarch

In a large bowl, toss the tofu cubes with cornstarch until evenly coated.

5

Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.

6

Fry the Tofu

Add the tofu cubes to the skillet in a single layer. Cook until golden and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.

7

Add Vegetables

If using, add chopped red bell pepper, broccoli florets, and sliced carrots to the skillet and stir-fry for an additional 5 minutes.

8

Add Sauce

Pour the prepared soy sauce mixture over the tofu and vegetables, stirring to coat evenly. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.

9

Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat, garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds, and serve hot.
