Prepare the Glass
Chill a rocks glass or an old-fashioned glass by filling it with ice water. Let it sit while you prepare the cocktail.

Combine Ingredients
In a mixing glass filled with ice, pour 2 oz of Knob Creek Bourbon, 1 oz of sweet vermouth, and 2 dashes of Angostura bitters.

Stir the Mixture
Using a bar spoon, stir the mixture gently for about 30 seconds until well chilled and diluted.

Strain and Serve
Discard the ice water from the chilled glass. Using a strainer, pour the mixture into the glass over a large ice cube or a few smaller ice cubes.

Garnish
Garnish the drink with a cherry and an orange peel. To release the oils from the orange peel, twist it over the drink before placing it in the glass.
