In a small saucepan, combine equal parts water and sugar with fresh blackberries and a pinch of spices like cinnamon and clove. Bring to a simmer and stir until the sugar dissolves. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes, then strain out the solids and let the syrup cool.

Prepare the Cocktail
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the J. Rieger gin, grapefruit juice, and spiced blackberry simple syrup. Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.

Strain and Top with Prosecco
Strain the mixture into a chilled flute or coupe glass, then slowly top with prosecco to preserve the bubbles.
